Year 3000

This is a song called "Year 3000" from the Jonas Brothers. I'm really into it. Just ask Tashi. But anyways, it's this American group of 3 brothers, Kevin (19), Joe (16), and Nick (14). The British group Busted released this song in 2003, and it was a big hit.

The Jonas Brothers covered and released "Year 3000" in 2006. To make their version more radio-friendly towards teenagers and kids, some of the lyrics from the original song were changed. For example, in the original version by Busted, it says "and your great-great-great granddaughter is pretty fine", while their version says "and your great-great-great granddaughter is doing fine". Also, the Jonas Brothers' "7th album ... outsold Kelly Clarkson" instead of Michael Jackson.

One day when I came home at lunchtime
I heard a funny noise
Went out to the back yard to find out if it was
One of those rowdy boys
Stood there with my neighbor called Peter
And a flux capacitor
He told me he built a time machine
Like one in a film I've seen
Yeah...he said

(Chorus)
I've been to the year three thousand
Not much has changed but they lived under water
And your great great great granddaughter
Is doing fine, doing fine

He took me to the future in the flux thing
And I saw everything
Boybands and another one and another one
And another one
Girls there with round hair like star wars
Float above the floor
We drove around in a time machine
Like one in a film I've seen
Yeah..he said…

(Chorus)
I've been to the year three thousand
Not much has changed but they lived under water
And your great great great granddaughter
Is doing fine, doing fine

(Bridge)
I took a trip to the year 3000
This song had gone multi platinum
Everybody bought our seventh album
It had outsold Kelly Clarkson
I took a trip to the year 3000
This song had gone multi platinum
Everybody bought our seventh album, seventh album...

He told me he built a time machine
Like one in a film I've seen
Yeah...

I've been to the year three thousand
Not much has changed but they lived under water
And your great great great granddaughter
Is doing fine, doing fine

He said…
I've been to the year three thousand (yeah, I've been)
Not much has changed but they lived under water (Whoa...yeah)
And your great great great granddaughter (granddaughther)
Is doing fine, (doing fine) doing fine

He said…
I've been to the year three thousand
Not much has changed but they lived under water (Whoa...yeah)
And your great great great granddaughter
Is doing fine, doing fine

He said… I've been to the year three thousand
Not much has changed but they lived under water
And your great great great granddaughter
Is doing fine, doing fine

He said…
I've been to the year three thousand
Not much has changed but they lived under water
And your great great great granddaughter
Is doing fine, doing fine
