We Are Family!!! I Got All My Cousins With Me!!!

Yay! I got to actually do something fun for the first time this summer vacation. My mom's little sister and her family came down to our house. Because Gracie Sue's 1st birthday landed on the same day as Memorial day this year. So they came down to celebrate both of the celebrations with us.

It started out with a healthy lunch of subway sandwiches. Then me, Stephen, Jordan, and Tashi played 5-category Balderdash. For like 4 hours. It was intense and serious stuff. We made a lot of inside jokes from that - Tim the sheep, the chlorine explosion on Pluto (treez)...the bloodbath barber...yfawtc (your feet are way too clammy)...abigail fritz's incredible apples...kirkus and glimmer...dhic (disabled homos in California)...waking up to find you married your lover's sister (eegah!)...too much funny stuff to write down...

Of course Gracie had a birthday cupcake. But even though we stripped her down, she barely ate any of it. She looked at it like it was dangerous. Don't you like her face right here?

We went and saw the quilt show contest. Both Tash and my mom entered quilts. Tashi didn't know that she got an award - best design in the junior category. So she was surprised until she saw her quilt. She gets $25 now!!! Don't you love her face?

Good times, good times. Stephen will be 19 in June, and be going on a mission...the 4 oldest cousins...are going our separate ways...the summer Stephen comes back, me and Jordan will have just barely graduated. And then Tashi the next summer. And we'll all go to college and get married and move far away...(just watch, Tashi will get married first out of all 4 of us)

Okay, I know this picture is kind of r-rated(especially of me)...but it shows our real selves...we pull weird faces all day. It's something that runs on this side of the fam (on my other side too actually....)

What time is it? Summer Time! (Or is it?)

Well, I was super excited about the last day of school...this last quarter of school has been HECK. I was always gone for track, I was always working, no more advisory class (so we had homework we had to do at home), core tests, assemblies, everything was going wrong.
And then I lost my health class textbook, (because somebody stole mine!), and Coach Sheriff was going to have to charge me for it...he said it was $60 and then later found out it was $90 because it was brand new. And we didn't use them! Not once! Do you kknow how many nightmares I had about that stupid textbook? And howmuch I looked for it and almost got a sluff during class (that would have cost me another $25) because I was looking for it for so long during class? I finally found it on the second to last day of school. And I got my grades up because I passed all my core tests with a high grade, I didn't have any lost or late books from the library, no fees, I used up my school lunch money exactly...
I got so many signatures in my yearbook! Sadly, I had to work the night of graduation. But supposedly it was already full 15 minutes before it was supposed to start. So I probably wouldn't have been able to go anyways. And the funny thing is, I felt like I was graduating because I'm moving and I got to sit on the stand with the seniors at smerinary graduation because i played the piano. And the yearbook DVD is really good. Me and Gina hurried and finished everything at work so we could go to the Senior party. There were all these blowup things to play on. There was a dance too. But they kicked everyone but the seniors out at 11:30. The seniors stay all night. But they even kicked Sam out, even though he's s senior, just because he's home-schooled. I think that's wrong.

So Sam, me, Gina, Merial, Kelton, and Kalam went to Kelton's hot tub. It took like an hour for it to heat up, so we got in at 1 am and stayed in for another hour. Then since we didn't get invited to the big girls sleepover party, me, Gina and Merial drove to Gina's house showered off all the chlorine, ate cereal, and then we got to my house at 3 am to sleepover. Gina and Merial wouldn't wake up the next morning. And Merial didn't hear her phone go off super loud every 5 minutes after 6 in the morning. I told Tashi to turn her phone off, but the alarm still kept going off every 5 minutes. We couldn't get signed out at school until noon, so me and Gina played School's Out on Guitar Hero 3 in Mr. Keel's room (on his big projector screen).
Merial had to move that afternoon, so we helped her pack up her room in an hour, and then went and got Sam and Kelton and drove to Cluff's. Ate some yummy stuff, took some funny pictures (that Sam has), and said our last goodbyes. Then I had to go home and clean my room and go to work. That's my realistic last day of school. We were all tired from staying up, it was rainy and depressing, it didn't even feel like summer. And then Merial moved a day earlier than she said. It all kind of hit us that we're going our own separate ways. Sam's going on a mission at the end of the summer, and I'm moving to Illinois. Gina may or may not move to California. Haha I wish our last day of school would have looked like this:

But it's slowly hitting me that I won't get to eat lunch with everyone in the lunch room ever again, or go to my junior prom here, or talk to Brother Rasmussen all the time.
Oh, and David Archuleta didn't win...but I heard he's already signed for a CD. I can't wait for it to come out. I'm just glad he got that far. I voted for him this last time. And I know the votes were really close. But oh well.

Tashi's is Cali right now, with he chorus class, which makes me wish I would've done chorus instead of drama. She gets to go to Magic Mountain and all those fun places. I told her to buy me something from a Hollister store there. That would be so cool! She's going to come back looking all tan and everything. Gina's leaving for Cali tomorrow too to see her mom. I'll just be here...sitting inside because it's too cold, wishing I was in Cali, going to work...doing nothing...(sorry I'm kind of depressed right now)

PRINCE CASPIAN!!!!

All I can say is OMG. I just got back from watching "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian". I got to see it the night it opened!!! It was way better than I thought it would be. The book was good, and it was true to the book, maybe even better. It's supposed to be 1300 years after Christ, so in the Middle Ages. The book showed it really well, but the movie just showed how dark and evil that time period was. So if you were silly enough not to read the book, I'll tell you the storyline:

It's been one year for the Pevensie kids since they've returned from Narnia, and Prince Caspian blows Susan's horn to call them back. When they get back to Narnia, they realize that 1300 years have gone by during the one year they were gone. The Golden Age (when they were ruling) is over, and Narnia has been conquered by the Telmerines, and evil King Miraz has it under his control. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy meet Prince Caspian, who is the rightful heir to the throne. King Miraz killed Caspian's father, and now that King Miraz has a newborn son, he plots to kill Caspian. So Caspian runs into hiding, and has called back the Pevensies, to help him stop the King's order that all the magical Narnia creatures be killed, to find Aslan, and end King Miraz's evil rule.

The special effects were really good, and it was very dramatic and intense. I'm not going to lie. Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) is HOT. So is Peter (William Mosely). I decided either of them can marry me, they can just battle it out and whoever wins...haha. Gina can marry the mouse, Reepicheep. She says she can adopt him too. She doesn't care. Lucy (Georgie Henley) wasn't as cute as in the first movie, but oh well. I like the guy who plays Edmund (Skandar Keynes), because he is the exact same age as me, just 2 weeks older. The guy who played Trumpkin the dwarf was the same guy who played Miles Finch on "Elf" haha. And the guy who played Prince Caspian was the younger version of the dad - Dunstan Thorne - on "Stardust"

I just like how they showed the difference between good and evil so well. I have to admit there were some scenes where I had to grab Gina because it was so intense.

The Narnians think Aslan has abandoned them while this evil king is ruling them. Lucy keeps seeing Aslan, but the others can't, and just tell her that she's seeing things. I really liked the part where Aslan comes to Lucy in a dream and tells her where to find Him. Or the evil ritual when the White Witch tried to come back. That was pretty darn intense. And Aslan showed them at the very end that they weren't alone. It was so good. And how Aslan explains to Lucy that he can't jump in and save them every time. And that she shouldn't have believed the others when they told her she was just seeing things. Or how if the king isn't under Aslan's guidance, it gets all messed up like King Miraz. It was so sad when they went to attack the castle and had to leave all those creatures behind because they got trapped. Or the sword fight between Peter and King Miraz. Or Aslan's sad look when they leave to go back to England. You just have to see it before I spoil the whole movie. I haven't seen a good movie like this in a long time.

I can't believe it's been a year since Pirates 3 came out!!! I haven't this excited for a movie since Pirates 3. I was so excited to go tonight. I have to admit that I'm excited for the new Indiana Jones movie too though. And the 3rd Narnia movie (but the 5th book) is coming out next MAY!!! I might squee my pants off. I really want them to make the 1st book (The Magician's Nephew) and the 3rd book (The Horse and His Boy). You have to read the books to understand the symbolism. I like how Aslan shows up in each book when you're least expecting it. Go to youtube and watch all the interviews and trailers for the movie, k? Promise?

Dances and Parties

This was a really fun day. It was the health fair, so I got to go over to it twice during school. Then there was a dance with O. City at our building. Kelby Caleb asked me to the first dance. I danced with Lorin, Mike Freeman, and Mike Louder too.

(everybody's shoes at Jarom's house)
Me, Gina, and Merial started a chain of people during the macarena and everyone started following us. That was tiring.

(the whole gang, Mike L. is looking at the camera)
And it snowed!!! It was the last day of April! What's up with that? But it didn't ruin the dance.

(Mike W., Rendon, Clancy, Megan, Maili, and Kayla on the couch, Mekensie and Liza on the floor)
And then there was a surprise birthday party for Jarom. Me, Merial, and Kelby Caleb had fun playing with Efra's Raggedy Ann dolls. I had a great time!!!

(Jarom - the birthday boy, holding Kunz -, Liza, Katie, and Jessica)
I was so hyper!!! I had so much pop and cookies at the health fair (of all places), the dance, and then the party.

(Jessica, Katie, and Melissa)
And Gina got off work early so she got to go to the dance and party.

(Kelton, Merial, Gina, Kelby Caleb, and me)
Ya. I want school to end so bad. I'm going to have the best summer.

(Kylie and "Jumbo" they're so cute!)

Kunz and Jumbo were happy to see eachother!!!

Lexi Likes Boys

I've been writing more in my journal lately, so I've been on my blog less and less. I can write way more personal stuff in my journal haha.

I've been having so much fun hanging out with my sophmore class, and having my auntie Gina and unca Jeff here to visit.

Just something I've realized in the past year:
I've been this way since I was little. I have one or two really good friends that happen to be girls (i can't say girlfriends...and Gina, you know you're always more important to me than a boy!!!) and then I hang out with a whole bunch of boys. I'd much rather go to a party with a ton of boys my age than vice versa. That kind of sounds like a captain obvious thing to say, but ever since I was little, I've been able to feel more like myself in a room full of boys than with a room full of girls. I've never been a tomboy, or super athletic or anything, (so I don't know why I fit in), it's just that boys are funnier, less judgemental, and don't get into fights like girls do. That's the thing I don't like about girls. They're always getting into cat-fights and judge what the other girl is wearing etc etc etc...drama, drama, drama. Maybe it's because I've grown up in a family of girls and it's nice to have the opposite. I don't really know. I just know that's how I am.

I will post pictures of track, hanging out with friends, and tell all my stories of my recent social life on the next post.

Oh, and David's still on AI!!!! I'm glad Brook got cut though. I'm said because she was a member of the church, but I really didn't like her voice.
